After the Football Game – Unplug the Big Screen TV!

I participated in an Energy Audit last week.  As we walked around the outside of the house, we spotted a BIG Screen TV through the window the sunroom.  It was at least 52 inches.

I mentioned to the homeowner that a Plasma TV was one of the largest draws of electricity in the house.

The  homeowner thought for a minute, then said “you know, I noticed that the Electric bills went up about 20% in the last few months – that”s as long as we had the TV!”
